Charlotte Giblin has worked professionally in the visual arts for over 23 years, from business owner; gallery director and arts administrator to art tutor; author; potter; painter and illustrator…and loved it all!

Now a full time painter and art tutor in New Plymouth, Charlotte’s style continues to evolve, unified by the common threads of colour and light. All of her paintings are auto biographical, carrying her energy and experience, whether she is doing realistic portraiture or bright, textural Abstract Expressionist landscapes. She loves pushing herself in different creative directions to see what emerges!

Like a Designer Fashion label, Charlotte works in short collections of paintings which are tied by theme or style and rarely repeated. Each collection defines a specific period of her life and is a fantastic way for art lovers and collectors to chart the progress and evolution of this exciting contemporary fine artist.

Charlotte is a two-time finalist in the prestigious New Zealand Adam Portraiture awards (2016 and 2018) and exhibits regularly from her home Studio Gallery in New Plymouth and in selected Galleries around New Zealand.
